Heriberto Martinez was granted his angel wings on April 12, 2021, at 69 years. Beloved husband of the late Carmen M. Valentin – Ortiz; Devoted father of Carmen Mercado, Miguel Mercado and Madelyn Mercado; Dear brother of Felicita Negron, Andrea Lopez, Francisca Martinez, Teresa Martinez, Laura Martinez, Guillermo Martinez, Tomas Martinez Jr., Emenehildo Martinez, and Manuel Martinez. Loving grandfather to 6 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Also survived by 11 loving nieces and 9 nephews. Heriberto, born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico worked at Henry Company for 45 years until retirement. He played with the Puerto Rico Stars as 2nd base and catcher -- known as "Super Fly 69". Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Wednesday, April 21st from 6 to 8 PM and Thursday from 8 to 9 AM at Falco Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 Browning Road in Pennsauken. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Concepcion, 642 Market Street in Camden. Final disposition Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken. All visitors MUST wear masks on all premises.
