Obituary of Robert J. DiGiovanni

Robert "Bob" DiGiovanni, age 86 of Pennsauken for 51 years, formerly of South Philadelphia, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 15, 1938 to the late Joseph and Rose (nee Framo) DiGiovanni.

Beloved husband of over 57 years to Roseann (nee Furlano); Devoted father of Carmelita Orsini and Gina Donlon (Darrin); Loving grandfather of Brandon, Adriana and Lauren; Dear brother of Salvatore "Sam" (Rose), Richard (Cathy), Lucy "Sis" Cetroni (Mario) and the late Peter and Joseph (Anna) DiGiovanni.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Prior to his retirement, Bob worked as a machinist with the United States Mint in Philadelphia.  He was a United States Army Veteran, and enjoyed reading, watching the History Channel, CSI, Seinfeld, Mike & Molly and Two and a Half Men.  Bob was a crossword buff and loved tending to his vegetable garden and taking vacations to Wildwood, traveling with his family or his annual fishing trips with the guys.

He was a faithful parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church in Pennsauken.  Bob had a sweet tooth and would much rather enjoy dessert before the real food.  He loved his macaroni, meatballs and sausage – especially on Sunday at 1:00 sharp!  Most of all, Bob enjoyed relaxing sitting on the porch with a stogie in any weather

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday, May 10 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Church of St. Stephen, 6300 Browning Road in Pennsauken.  Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill.
