Obituary of Licia R. Boccafurno
Licia R. Boccafurno (nee DiPietro), age 90 of Voorhees, NJ passed away on May 16, 2025. She was born in Teramo, Italy on December 11, 1934 to the late Antonio and Teresa (nee DiAntonio) DiPietro, and was married for many years to the late Raymond Boccafurno.
Dear sister of Mario (Christina) DiPietro, Olga DiPietro, Michelina Lambucci, Emedio DiPietro, Maria DiPargrazio and Dora Cordoni. Loving godmother of Anthony Paisani. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Boccafurno was the co-owner of the Liquor Mill in Magnolia for 34 years. She was a longtime parishioner and Sacristan at St. Vincent Pallotti Church in Haddon Township and was active in many ministries, including the Altar Linen ministry, Helping Hands, Gardening ministry, and the Women's Club. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Gibbsboro, NJ.
Like St. Francis of Assisi, Licia dedicated many years to raising and caring for her doves and was meticulous about caring for the Blessed Mother Gardens at her parish. She was extraordinarily generous and giving to her church and many other organizations, especially to people in need.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Viewing on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle, 27 Kresson-Gibbsboro Road, Gibbsboro, NJ, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM by the Rev. Msgr. Louis Marucci. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill, NJ. The funeral mass can be viewed live-stream at www.churchofstandrews.org
