Obituary of Mary Marzella
Mary "Mae" Marzella, age 99 passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025. Mae was born in Camden, New Jersey on September 22, 1925 and was the beloved daughter of Pasqualine and Cosmo Marzilli.
Mae was one of six siblings - five sisters and one brother - all of whom predeceased her and are dearly missed by their families: Rose D'Alesandro (Anthony), Sue Marzilla, John (Josephine), Millie Cantera (Anthony) and Lisa Gallo (Lou).
Mae dedicated 45 years of service to the federal government and remained close with a group of cherished friends from her working years. Even into her later years, they never forgot a birthday or missed a small celebration with Mae.
In her younger days, Mae did some modeling, worked at the Music Fair, and had a deep love for traveling, dining out and visiting the casino.
Lovingly known as Aunt Mae to her nieces, nephews and even to many not related by blood, she was an incredibly kind, generous and thoughtful person. She never missed a birthday or Christmas and gave so much more, always with a loving heart.
Mae leaves behind many dear family members and friends who will carry her memory forever. She will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts. She is now at peace.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mae's life on Wednesday, May 28 at St. Joan of Arc Church, 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton, NJ from 10 to 11 AM, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cathedral Kitchen, 1514 Federal Street, Camden, NJ 08105.
"In this life's journey, goodbye is just a pause. The ones we love are never far from our hearts."
