Obituary of Maria A Irizarry

Maria A. Irizarry, a lifelong resident of Camden, passed away at her home on July 11, 2025 at the age of 67.  She was born in Camden on June 17, 1958 to the late Octavio Irizarry Perez and Margarita (nee Santiago).

She is the devoted mother of Nika, Nelson and Joel Colon; cherished grandmother of Yazmin, Yaliah, Yalyssa, Nalani and Zaviel and great grandmother of Aria.  Dear sister of Lydia, Norma, Efriam and John Cortez and Manuel, Jose, Marisol, Marilyn, Elvin, Richard, Alberto and Annette Perez.

Maria was a vibrant, fearless woman who loved her family deeply. She was the loudest cheerleader for her children, adored her grandchildren and great-grandchild, and brought people together with love, laughter, and unforgettable spirit. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing salsa and watching any movie with Keanu Reeves starring in it.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 9 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Avenue, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
