Obituary of Cathy W. Gilchrist

Cathy W. Gilchrist (nee Washington) age 68 years of Maple Shade, N.J., formerly of Lindenwold and Woodbury, passed away suddenly on July 23, 2020. Beloved daughter of Dolores (nee Booker) and the late Clinton Washington, Sr. Devoted mother of Monique Hayes (David) and Clinton M. Minus (Trisha-Lee). Loving grandmother of Latoyia Hall, Selena Hayes and David Hayes, Jr. Dear sister of Ellen Denise Washington, Faye Fuller, Shirley Tyler, David Washington and the late Clinton Melvin Washington, Jr. and Benny Fuller. Cherished aunt of Brian, Damian and Nicole as well as many other loving nieces and nephews. Also survived by her grand dog Buddha and many cousins and friends. Prior to retirement in 2017, Cathy was employed at Canon Financial Services in Mount Laurel for over 10 years. She enjoyed movies, reading, writing and puzzles. Cathy also loved to travel, cook, bake, and collect elephants. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 10:30-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11 AM. Due to COVID19 capacity restrictions, we ask that you limit your stay so that others can pay their respects and face masks must be worn at all times while inside.
