Obituary of Jose L. Martinez
Jose L. Martinez, age 76 years of Camden, passed away on June 16, 2021 at Aristacare Nursing Home in Cherry Hill.
Beloved companion of Maria Melendez. Devoted father of Mariam Sanchez, Javier Ortiz and Carlos Ortiz. Loving grandfather of Ricky Sanchez, Javier Sanchez, Josh Ortiz, Gianna Marie Wright-Bay, Maryvette Ortiz, Carlos Ortiz, Jr. and Sianni Ortiz and great grandfather of Antonio and Bella. Dear brother of Margarita Martinez, Perfecta Lugo, Carla Martinez and the late Mario Martinez. Also survived by his caregiver of over 20 years, Wanda Lao.
Prior to retirement, Jose worked for many years in construction. He could always be found hanging out on the patio and working and fixing things. Jose also enjoyed music and fishing.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 9:30-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
