Obituary of Gabriel G. Flanagan-Ale

Gabriel G. Flanagan-Ale, age 71 years of Burlington, formerly of Fort Dix/McGuire AFB, passed away on July 22, 2021. 

Beloved husband of Evelyn (nee Colon). Devoted father of Crystal Schmidt, William Ailes, Patricia Duckett, and Autumn Ailes. Loving grandfather of Adriana, Day-our, Joseph, Anthony, Ciara, Monica, Nazir, Aziah, Adrie, Michael, Isiah, Keypoe Jr., Keymoni, Keyon, and Keyvon. Caring great grandfather of Jalayah, Janessa, Dominic, Jovani, Mila, Mariella, Natalie, Levi, Adriene, and Avianna. Dear brother of Patricia Joyner, Judy Jennings, Nadina Stevenson, Rodney Ailes, and the late Richard and Buddy Ailes. Also survived by 6 stepchildren, 24 step-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Prior to retirement, Gabriel served in the US Air Force from 1969-1989 where he reached the rank of Master Sergeant and fought in the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart. Following his time in the military, Gabriel worked for 18 years as a corrections officer at multiple facilities, retiring from Riverfront State Prison in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, traveling while in the military, and singing. 

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 9:30 AM at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
