Hipolito DeJesus

Obituary of Hipolito DeJesus

Hipolito "Polo" DeJesus of Camden, passed away on October 28, 2021 at 79 years. Devoted father of Ada Navarro DeJesus, Jose Luis DeJesus, Jose "Papo" Antonio, Andre DeJesus, Gilberto DeJesus, Wanda Velazquez, Ramon Velazquez, Norbert DeJesus, Hipolito DeJesus, Marangely DeJesus, Victor DeJesus and Maria DeJesus; Loving brother, grandfather and great grandfather of many.

Hipolito "Polo" DeJesus was born in Penuelas, Puerto Rico on July 27, 1942 to Maria and Victor DeJesus. He was raised in PR with his siblings where he found his love for agriculture and farm animals. He took pride in caring for his land and his animals. Hipolito was a father to 12 children, loving each one equally. He was very devoted to providing for his family and took his title as father with love and passion. He walked his children to and from school daily no matter the weather. Their safety was so important to him that he was the first to awake in the morning and the last to fall asleep.

Polo enjoyed taking walks in the morning and feeling the afternoon breeze upon his face. Coffee in the morning and the afternoon was a part of his daily routine. He loved coffee so much that he even enjoyed it in a bowl of Cheerios if there was no milk. Playing dominoes with his family and friends gave him so much joy. He did not watch television often but he did enjoy watching a Spanish comedy of Susa y Epifanio, Sabado Gigante and Family Feud (only with Steven Harvey). Polo always said, "The best things in life are free and a gift from God!" He will be remembered for his amazing smile and chinky eyes. For kissing his family on the forehead and his kind generous soul. Those who got an opportunity to meet him were beyond blessed for he was such a wonderful person.

Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
