Obituary of Norma Iris George

Norma I. George (nee Martinez) age 78 years of Camden, passed away on March 4, 2022.

Beloved wife of the late Albert C.  Devoted mother of Kevin George (Jessica Guzman). Loving grandmother of Kevin Albert and Kristopher Rafael George.  Dear sister of Herminia Portalatin, Carmen Freeman, Margarita Bates, Felicita Zayes, Benedicta Diaz, Francisco Martinez, Juan Felix Martinez, Rubin Martinez, Hector I. Martinez, Jose Manuel Martinez and the late Anibal Martinez, Miguel A. Martinez, and Ana Rivera.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Prior to retirement, Norma worked as a teacher's assistant at Cramer School in East Camden for many years.  She worked part time at the KROC Center in Camden and did a lot of volunteer work with Urban Promise and St. Anthony of Padua Church and School events.  Norma loved to go dancing with her sisters and friends.  She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida to visit her sisters and Puerto Rico to visit her parents.  Norma had a great sense of humor and was always joking around.  She will be missed by all who knew her.  

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10-11 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 2818 River Road in Camden, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
