Obituary of Susan C. Hughes

Susan C. Hughes (nee Brown), age 71 of Blakeslee, PA, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023.

She was born on September 10, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA to the late George and Eleanor Brown.  Prior to her retirement, she worked as a clerk for Conrail in Philadelphia for over 25 years and later worked for the Geisinger Hospital.  Susan loved music and playing the guitar.  She was a caregiver to everyone - even while battling stage 4 cancer and she was a true angel on Earth. 

She is the beloved wife of the late Manny Hughes; loving sister of Barbara and her husband John Mock; dear stepmother of Mark Hughes; caring aunt of Carolyn Mooney and John Mock; dear mother in law of Sandy and her husband Peter Baczewski; loving grandmother of Nicholas, Colin and Devin Hughes and Alana Fitchett.  She is also survived by her beloved dog Emma Lou.

A Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023  at 11 AM at the Thornhurst United Methodist Church, 341 Buck River Road in Thornhurst, PA .
